What is “napped” versus “unnapped” loop?
Essentially, napped tape consists of woven nylon loops that are “randomly disoriented” in a separate operation after weaving. An unnapped tape is a woven nylon tape that is not napped.

Specialty Products
• Hook 81 and Loop 9000
A polyester version of Hook 88 and Loop 1000. Polyester material typically demonstrates better resistance to chemicals and damaging ultraviolet (UV) rays in sunlight, when compared to nylon. Polyester also maintains it’s performance when wet.
• Performance Closure, HTH-841 and Loop 4000 nylon

• VELCRO® Brand Mushroom Hook
Mushroom hook is designed to be one of the strongest woven hook products available in the market. It is so strong that it literally tears the loop apart when cycled. Use it with Loop 1000 for maximum strength. Available in single-lobe (high strength) and quadralobal (ultimate strength) versions.

• Flame Retardant (FR) Coatings
Flame retardancy is required for many automotive and airplane applications. FR treatments are available on standard Hook 88 and Loop 1000 to meet the regulatory requirements F.A.R. 25.853, BOEING8-285 and MVSS-302. Some of our products inherently meet certain specifications. Here is a list of some of our most popular knit loops:
Loop 3001 – A wide alternative to Loop 1000. Recommended for use with Hook 88.
Loop 3610 – A medium height loop with moderate strength and cycle life is great on medical appliances and sports equipment. Best used with a medium height hook such as HTH-22.
Loop 3905 – A low profile knit loop that engages well with low profile hooks such as HTH-29. With moderate strength and cycle life, L3905 can be used for medical straps, sanding disks, and flooring.
Aspen NWL3310 – This ultra thin spun-bonded polyester loop offers medium strength and low engagement cycles. Best used as a disposable loop for medical gowns and baby diapers. It engages best with low profile hooks such as HTH-29.
