Adhesive

VELCRO® brand hook and loop fasteners can make your assembly process easier, with factory pre-coated adhesives on the back side.

They can replace the problematic adhesives that are currently in your factory: messy liquid adhesives, and dangerous hot melt adhesives that cause burns and damage delicate materials. We provide a fastener with an adhesive coated backing that is clean, trimmed, and ready to use. This will immediately save your operation time and money, and make your assembly process easier to manage.

Our team of associates have extensive technical expertise to determine what adhesive best suits your application. Whether it is an intricate packaging line, a demanding automotive application that requires holding power at extreme temperatures, or a quick bond to polyolefin, we have an adhesive that is just right for you. Velcro Canada Inc. has a certified test lab on the premises, where adhesives are tested for consistency, performance, and application suitability. Our environmental conditioning chambers can be used to simulate long term adhesion to a variety of substrates, as well as product shelf life. Pressure Sensitive (Peel & Stick)

Pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) pre-coats are popular because of the ease of application. Simply remove the release liner away from the adhesive backing, and press the VELCRO® brand tape onto your substrate. We offer a PSA for a variety of applications: high temperatures, low temperatures, adhesion to low energy surfaces such as polypropylene and polyethylene, general purpose use, indoor use, outdoor, etc. Most are food grade and latex free. A general purpose, indoor, hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesive.

• PS-14

A multi-purpose, hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesive.

• PS-19

A specialty, high performance, hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesive.

• PS-13

A specialty, high performance, hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesive with a higher temperature rating than PS-19.

• PS-72

A high-temperature acrylic, pressure sensitive adhesive.

• PS-75

A high-temperature acrylic, pressure sensitive adhesive, designed primarily for use on vinyl (PVC) with excellent resistance to plasticizer migration.

VELCRO® Brand Dry Adhesive

Factory applied pre-coated adhesive backings, available on most VELCRO® brand hook and loop tapes, provide the strongest adhesive bond to the tape itself and can be made ready for instant bonding by many easy methods of application (e.g.: solvent, heat, ultrasonic, dielectric, etc.) They can also be used as a tie coat for a liquid adhesive.

• SA-40 (Solvent Activated)

This adhesive is reactivated with MEK, or ultrasonically welded. Good for PVC material, Moderate temperature range.

• HA-43 (Heat Activated)

Heat reactivated urethane, and moderate temperature range.

• #47 - Fabric Fusion

Heat activated permanent thermo set, and wide temperature range.
