How To Use

STICKY BACK® User Hints

• Adhesive is not suitable for fabrics, vinyl, underwater.
• Moving fastener from original location weakens sticking power.
  
• Both surfaces must be clean and dry before applying.
• Allow 5 minutes for adhesive to set before engaging the hook and loop, max strength after 24 hours.

INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH™ User Hints

• Not designed for fabrics, vinyl, underwater.
• Ensure both surfaces are clean and dry before engaging.
• The adhesive is very strong and is not easily removed – take care where you stick it!
• Allow at least 15 minutes for adhesive to set before attaching.

ONE-WRAP® and Reusable Ties User Hints

• To secure Tie so it doesn't get lost when not in use, wrap tie (rough-side in) around a single wire.
• Thread small end of tie through the cut out slot at top of the tie and pull tight.
• Tie is self gripping and simply wraps around itself.
• NOTE: simply cut Self Gripping Ties to size and wrap on itself.
• VELCRO® brand Adjustable & Self Gripping Ties will open and close 100s of times, but always try to keep the hook & loop engaged to prevent ‘fluff' and dirt getting into the hook – this can affect its effectiveness.

VEL-STRAP® User Hints

Securing VELCRO® brand Adjustable Hanging Straps to a wall:

1. Wear eye protection when drilling.
2. Drill hole in wall and insert wall-plug flush with the surface.
3. Clean hole (use 6mm Ø drill bit).
4. Insert screw through hole in buckle - loop side should face away from wall.
5. Screw fixing into the wall-plug.
6. Wrap strap around object, feeding the end of the strap behind the tab and into the buckle. Tighten and secure.

Sew-On User Hints

• Can be machine or hand sewn.
• Sew around the edges and backstitch for durable fixing.
• On clothing always use the hook side (rough) facing away from the body.
• For increased longevity, ensure fastener is closed whilst laundering or when not in use and remove any 'fluff' which may get caught in the hook side.
• Can be machine washed or dry cleaned.
• Wash separately from delicate fabrics.
• Close fastener when laundering to prevent snagging on other garments, or when not in use to avoid 'fluff' and dirt getting into the hook – this can affect its strength.

Fabric Fusion User Hints

• Round off corners of tape to prevent lifting.
• Pin in place, with adhesive next to fabric. Turn over and press down for 30 seconds. Check bond once cool, repeating if necessary.
• Close fastener when laundering to prevent snagging on other garments, or when not in use to avoid 'fluff' and dirt getting into the hook – this can affect its strength.
• Can be machine washed.
