Seating

VELCRO® brand Mold-In touch fasteners offer a superior alternative to conventional automotive seat assembly, and save time and costs while increasing productivity. With MIGG (Mold-In Gasket Generation) fasteners, customers receive all of these benefits:

  • High-strength, continuous attachment of seat trim covers
  • Smooth, attractive seams and bolsters
  • Cost-effective assembly
  • End-of-use recycling
  • Reduced waste and rework
  • Lower costs and faster assembly – no more labour intensive ring and wire upholstery tie-downs
  • Greater design flexibility

MIGG is quickly and easily inserted into the mold cavity to accelerate seat foam processing. Multiple widths and lengths are available to meet your designs needs.

M3G (Mold-In 3rd Generation) touch fasteners are another cost-effective seat assembly choice. They provide exceptionally clean seat lines with less scrap and bond firmly with shear components, reducing foam strain and tearing. M3G has a wire backing that attracts to the molding tool magnet, for more accurate positioning and a better seal.

VELCRO® brand DCS (Die-Cut Shaped) mold-in hook has unique, curved profiles to put holding power precisely where it's needed. The result is more flexibility for designers to achieve their styling and ergonomic goals.

Versatile and durable, mold-in touch fasteners are made of nylon with an "arrowhead" hook shape to maximise loop engagement for more holding strength. A special backing-allows the fastener to bond with the foam during molding when inserted directly into the seat mold cavity. MIGG, M3G and DCS mold-in hook perform exceptionally well when engaged with seat upholstery material which has VELCRO® brand seating loop attached.

Customers benefit from MIGG, M3G and DCS fasteners through reduced costs, greater seat design flexibility, faster seat assembly, fewer errors, and less rework.
