PROPER USE OF TRADEMARKS:

Proper use and acknowledgement of trademarks is required by the Velcro companies and our customers.

If you use genuine VELCRO® brand fasteners, we ask that you reference the trademark in the following manner:

1. USE THE REGISTRATION SYMBOL AND THE WORD “BRAND” FOLLOWING THE TRADMARK
Put the word “brand” after VELCRO. Also capitalize VELCRO and always put the symbol “®” after it, e.g., “VELCRO® brand”.

2. FOLLOW THE WORD “BRAND” WITH THE CORRECT GENERIC TERM
“VELCRO® brand” must also be followed by the generic name of the tape or fastener, such as “hook-and-loop fastener” or “touch fastener”.

For example, you might say “Our product features genuine VELCRO® brand fasteners.”

3. INCLUDE A TRADEMARK LEGEND:
Include a notice statement that says: “VELCRO® is a registered trademark of Velcro Industries B.V.”

Throughout this web site, where the ® symbol is indicated, the symbol refers to a U.S. registration.
